I work at the OLC School in New Jersey, I am the teacher and Mrs. Hannah Margarban is my aide, here are some things of
me and what i teach in my school:
Welcome to Ms. Anita Idica’s Kindergarten Class! Here in our class we’re always up to something fun and exciting!
The Teacher: My name is Ms. Anita Idica with over 15 years of teaching experience I embrace the philosophy that students
are individuals with unique learning styles. It is my responsibility to enhance and nurture these emerging traits.
Introduction: The OLC kindergarten program is a bridge linking early learning experiences to more formal instruction and
schooling. It encourages each child to learn and provide the skills and tools needed for learning.
Classroom Environment: The kindergarten program provides a quality education, which includes a child-centered environment
with teachers whose passion is working with children. There are hands- on and active- learning activities that are meaningful
to the children. There is play and the use of math and reading learning centers. They gain strengths in language/ literacy
skills, self- expression, social interaction, and physical development. A good sense of independence and confidence is encouraged
and achieved.
Diversity: Our school population is rich in culture, religious, and ethnic diversity. Opportunities to incorporate multicultural
activities into the curriculum abound.
Challenge: The kindergarten experience provides skills to prepare the children for what they will experience in
first grade. Most children are ready for some formal instructions but we are committed to sound early childhood practices
and are aware of the readiness of each child. We ensure that each child is learning successfully at his own/ her own pace.
